ShellaineGodbold is an artist based in Canberra who graduated from the Printmedia andDrawing workshop at the Australian National University.  Since graduatingShellaine has undertaken a number of international residencies and presentedher work in solo and selected exhibitions.  In 2016 Shellaine was selectedas a finalist (from more than 70 nominations across Australia) in the MacquarieGroup Emerging Artist Prize.  Her primary practice focuses on drawing andmaking as a means of understanding and recording her experiences in theworld.  The works that she creates are informed by her experiences withinunfamiliar landscapes and cultures and underpinned by a devotion to the drawingprocess in its varied forms.  Her drawings and sculptures make use ofmaterials that are sympathetic to the environment she works in.
