Karla is video artist,illustrator and animation artist. Educated in Germany, Spain and the UK, shelives and works in Barcelona. She uses her drawings, animations and video-artto create room-filling performance and installation pieces, which have beenexhibited in festivals and art spaces worldwide.

Recently her artisticpractice focuses on real time aspects of her work. Recurring topics in her workare time and space, borders and current issues, which she portraits with a goodportion of humour. Her influences come from everyday live, from the many workrelated travels, from the misery of this world and the beautiful things ofhumanity.

Recently she formed ateam with stage director and dramaturge Andrés Beladiez, joining forces anddisciplines to create performances between visual arts, comic, animation andstage arts, which they call Live Cinema.
