I aman artist from Derby, United Kingdom specialising in photography, although mywork also incorporates other creative disciplines such as installation andsculpture. My work often draws on the framework of the museum and the collectorto explore themes of memory, possession, the human condition, human habits andbehaviour, existence and mortality. I am also interested in exploration ofplace and landscapes, both real and imaginary.

I liketo explore alternative methods of exhibition and display for my photographicartwork, and my past work has often involved minor interactive elements-something as simple as opening a drawer or a matchbox, for example, to discoverthe photograph waiting inside. It is, in part, this physical involvement withmy art that makes it memorable, while with the secretive element of the hiddenobject waiting to be discovered I hope to create a sense of intrigue andwonderment.
