2025 WWC|Movement in the harbor: Transdisciplinary Flows And Encounters In Art

In 2019, PAIR initiated the “Pier-2 Waving Waves Community (Pier-2 WWC)”, which aims to connect art and cultural institutions across international harbor cities, addressing issues of urban and cultural fluidity while fostering international dialogue and collaboration.
In 2025, with “Harbor × Movement” as the core, the edition invites domestic and international art institutions, curators, and artists whose practices resonate with geographical contexts and historical continuities. It seeks to examine how art is generated through mobility and interconnected across boundaries, while reconsidering the definitions of artist-in-residence and transdisciplinary collaboration from both institutional and creative perspectives. By engaging local art communities and residency exhibition, the program aspires to set sail from the harbor and look back toward the land, responding to the city’s transformation and renewal within the fluid landscape of culture.
