Over the course of the residency, the artist returned repeatedly to the city’s harbor and its transition corridors, observing the movements of ships entering, anchoring and leaving Kaohsiung. She collected images and sounds of things in motion, things passing through, things lasting only for a few breaths. The exhibition presents a maritime fiction that audiences can collectively breathe in and share, navigating alongside passing vessels and fleeting encounters, where observation gradually becomes identification.
