A shifting waterway, changing in form and name until it vanished from sight; a layered history of mixed-use commerce and living, where trade and daily life intertwine; shuttered doors, covered in dust; a large carpet left to be discarded.

“Behind the closed roller shutters and empty shelves, in renovated spaces that feel disconnected from their past, layers and gaps emerge. Yet these voids lead to nothing—no subject, no depth, no past. Like the unseen waterway below, this place becomes a passage for memory and imagination—an invisible current, felt more than seen.”

"The image of water rises, layered with traces of different eras and lives. In the gaps of time and space, you sense the thick, slick residue of compressed life and business. Water becomes an opening—perhaps an exit—a return to the ancient channel, which has flowed through this area for over a century, linking the river to the port, once carrying fragrant scents, the shimmer of song and light, and scenes in constant flux. Finally, the water fades, seeping into every trace of the past—some hidden, some uncovered, and some soon to be lost.”
